Our client, a rapidly growing event rental company, is looking for a motivated and energetic Event Setup/Breakdown Lead to join their team in San Antonio, TX. About the Role:
As an Event Setup/Breakdown Lead, you will be the face of the company, responsible for delivering, setting up, and breaking down event rentals at some of San Antonio's top hotels and venues. You will ensure all events run smoothly by paying attention to detail, following instructions, and providing exceptional client service. You will also lead a team, ensuring professionalism and quality at every event.
Responsibilities:
Timely delivery and setup of rental items to event sites.
Safe operation of 16’ and 26’ box trucks.
Strong understanding of rental equipment and ability to instruct clients on usage.
Accurate setup of events based on provided floor plans or verbal instructions.
Efficient breakdown and removal of rental items.
Proactive on-site client support to ensure satisfaction.
Consistent communication with management regarding any delays or issues.
Lead, motivate, and direct on-site team members.
Requirements:
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and double shifts. Overnight trips to Austin may be required. Minimum 1-2 years of experience in event setup, event production, or a related field. Experience driving 16’ and 26’ box trucks, with a clean driving record. Strong communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking English). Ability to follow and execute instructions effectively. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move carts weighing up to 100 lbs. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently. Punctuality and a positive attitude are essential. Reliable transportation and a working cell phone. Successful completion of background screening and drug test required.
