Job Description
The Production Support Associate plays a key role in the daily operations of the manufacturing floor. Under the guidance of the Production Supervisor, this position involves operating packaging and manufacturing equipment, monitoring product quality, and ensuring that production goals are met efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate machinery including conveyors, shrink-wrap systems, and automated bagging equipment
Package bulk product into bags and shaker containers, ensuring proper weight and blend specifications
Seal and label finished products accurately
Stack and palletize items according to company standards
Conduct routine cleaning and assist with maintenance of production lines and machinery
Keep workstations organized, clean, and in compliance with safety guidelines
Support other production-related tasks as needed or assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Strong attention to detail and basic math abilities
Experience working with manufacturing or packaging equipment is preferred
Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills
Capable of working independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced setting
Clear and effective communication skills
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to speak and hear clearly in a busy work environment
Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, squatting, and reaching
Regular use of hands for handling tools and equipment
Visual acuity needed for close-up work, depth perception, and color recognition
Ability to lift or move objects up to 50 lbs regularly
Work Environment:
This role is based in a production facility with varying temperatures and humidity. Exposure to dust and noisy machinery is common, and proper safety gear must be used as required.
